Big oil company has a cruel, evil history.

In the 1800s and 1900s John D. Rockefeller created an oil monopoly by driving the small, independent refineries out of business, thereby reducing refining capacity and increasing the price of gas. He employed spies to report what his competition was doing so he could stab them in the back and put them out of business. All the reasons big oil gives for increased prices now, Rockefeller invented and used over 100 years ago! Ever since the days of Rockefeller, oil prices have been rigged against the free market and the consumer.

For example, when the price of gas fell to a penny, due to the free market which created oversupply, Rockefeller intervened in the market by cutting production to reduce supply and raise the price. All the while he pretended to favor a free market while hypocritically stopping the free market from working. The big oil hypocrites are doing the same thing today. They talk free market then work to rig the price of gas against the consumer and the American economy. The real terrorist threat to America is big oil and their lapdog politicians in Washington.

The bad, greedy days of big oil continue thanks to our Washington politicians who, after receiving money from big oil, do the bidding of big oil instead of looking out for the people. In the face of criticism for their corruption, the politicians say, “We’re pro-life. We’re pro-family. We’re pro-small-business.” Then they go about their business of helping big oil destroy the jobs of the family and small business.

Another part of bad oil history is this: In the early days, the first automobiles were powered by electricity until big oil talked auto makers into using oil and gas. Yet today they talk as if using electricity for cars is something new they just created.

History shows big oil to be the same hypocrites they’ve always been, unmercifully abusing the consumer and the economy with high gas prices to earn higher profits for themselves.
